Meet Michael

My name is Michael Gaskell, and I have been a part-time woodworker for the last three years. Although woodworking is not my full-time occupation, it is my full-time passion. I thoroughly enjoy challenging myself and creating custom pieces that clients will always love.

When I am not working, I can always be found enjoying my time with my family, which has just begun to grow! I am married to a wonderful, supportive woman, a father to a beautiful newborn girl, and am an owner of two big crazy dogs.

Working With Michael

Working with me starts with a message! The typical process starts with an inquiry from a client about a piece they are needing and their exact specifications. I will ask for inspirations from other pieces they like and discuss options for wood species and what would work best in each unique scenario for them.

After a design is agreed upon, I require a non-refundable 50% deposit upfront. This is to cover the cost of materials and some of my time. The rest is due upon completion. After the deposit is received, the client's spot on my books is reserved. Pieces are completed on a first booked first served basis.

Like everyone, I only have so much time in a day. Between my full-time occupation and balancing family life, I am limited with how many projects I will book out. I work on every piece by myself and strive to have them as close to perfect as possible, which takes time.
